The documentary series “Putin’s Warriors”, produced by Story House Productions for ZDF in cooperation with the research network Correctiv, takes a look behind the façade of the seemingly overpowering Russian army.
A team worked for more than a year to gain access to Russian officers. They were once Putin’s loyal warriors until the Ukraine war robbed them of their illusions.
Now they are ready to testify before international investigators, hoping for asylum or witness protection. In the films, they talk about it for the first time – unprecedented reports from inside a black box: the Russian army.
